• 1- Del Real Foods® Pupusas
• ½- Head Cabbage, shredded
• 1- Carrot, peeled and grated
• 4- Cups boiling water
• 3- Scallions, minced
• ½- Cup white vinegar
• ½- Cup water
• 1- Jalapeño or serrano chile pepper, minced
• ½- Teaspoon Salt
Heat the Del Real Foods® Pupusas by following the instructions on the package. Place the cabbage and carrots in a large heat-proof bowl. Pour the boiling water into the bowl to cover the cabbage and carrots and set aside for about 5 minutes. Drain in a colander, pressing out as much liquid as possible. Return the cabbage to the bowl and toss with the remaining of the ingredients. Let set at room temperature for a couple hours if you like. Then chill and serve as an accompaniment to Del Real Foods® Pupusas.
Rolled Shredded Beef Taquitos
• 24- Corn Tortillas
• 1- 32oz Del Real Foods® Shredded Beef
• 1- Iceberg lettuce, shredded
• 1- 16oz sour cream
• 2- Medium ripe tomatoes, diced
• 2- Cups of vegetable oil
• 1- Del Real Foods® Salsa (optional)
Heat the Del Real Foods® Shredded Beef by following the instructions on the package. In a medium frying pan, place the oil and heat it up at medium heat until hot (365 ºF). In a separate pan, warm corn tortillas. Add about 1 ounce of shredded beef spread out in a line across the center of the tortilla then roll tortilla and pin it with a toothpick to avoid unrolling. Place the taquito in frying pan and fry until the tortilla looks crispy on all sides (for about 1 minute). Remove the taquito from frying pan and place on plate and let it stand for about 1 minute. Carefully remove all toothpicks. Garnish with shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes and Del Real Foods® Salsa (optional) and serve with a side of Del Real Foods® Refried Beans and Rice.
Carnitas Lettuce Wraps
• 16oz – Del Real Foods Carnitas
• 2 – Romaine Lettuce
• 1 cup – Pico De Gallo (Tomato, diced onion, cilantro)
• 1 – 16 oz package Del Real Foods Black Beans
• 2 – 15.25 oz cans of sweet corn
• 3 – Limes
Heat Del Real Foods Carnitas and Del Real Foods Black Beans according to directions on package. Set aside. Tear off and wash lettuce leaves. Pat dry. Build lettuce wraps by layering Del Real Foods Black Beans, Del Real Foods Carnitas, Pico De Gallo, and corn. Squirt with the juice of a fresh lime to your liking.
Chicken Tinga Tostada Bites
• 1- 14oz bag of tortilla rounds
• 1- 32oz Del Real Foods® Chicken Tinga
• 1- 12oz queso fresco, crumbled
• 1- Ripe avocado, diced
Heat the Del Real Foods® Chicken Tinga by following the instructions on the package. Add about one-ounce of chicken tinga to a tortilla round. Add crumbled cheese and garnish with diced avocado. Place chicken tostada bites in a nice plate and enjoy.
• 40oz Del Real Carnitas
• 1 12pack Hawaiian Bread
• 1 Head of Lettuce
• 1 Del Real Fire Roasted Salsa (Optional)
Heat the package of Del Real Carnitas (using instructions on the box). While the Del Real Carnitas are heating, split the buns or rolls. Place the heated Carnitas on the bottom half of the bun. Shred the head of lettuce and place on top of Carnitas. Don’t forget to add your favorite condiment or any Del Real Salsa. Place the top half of the bun and enjoy.
