Quick 4-Ingredient Carnitas Pork and Beans

1. Del Real Carnitas, 2. Del Real Molcajete Roja Salsa

These pork and beans are really the bomb! It will be very hard to have any leftovers of this hearty, meaty and savory dish. The Del Real Carnitas and salsa really flavor this so nice! Anyone can make this and in a very short time. It’s a great dish to heat up on the grill, serve at a picnic, or just have for your kids upon (frequent) request!

  • 1 28 oz. can Baked beans (with bacon and brown sugar)
  • 1 16 oz. pkg. Del Real Carnitas
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup Del Real Molcajete Roja Salsa

1. Heat Carnitas in microwave according to directions for 2 minutes. 2. When done, Cut Carnitas into small, even chunks and set aside. 3. Open beans and skim off the top ~1/4 cup layer of sauce/liquid from beans (along with that bacon chunk on top) and pour into blender or food processor. 4. Add tomato sauce and salsa to blender or food processor. 5. Blend sauce from beans, tomato sauce and salsa until well combined. 6. Heat beans in a deep, nonstick skillet on medium-high heat for 5 minutes, stirring gently. 7. Add, and stir in gently, carnitas and liquid mixture from blender to heated beans. 8. Cover and simmer beans for 5-10 minutes. 9. Serve warm and enjoy! (...btw, these are also good cold, if you have any leftovers)
