Chile Verde Naan Pizza with Green Cilantro Sauce

1 Chile Verde

This spicy, yet soft and gooey multi-flavored pizza is sure to please adults and kids alike. The flavorful chunks of pork make for a most savored bite. The cilantro sauce is fresh and offers a nutty tone. This pizza is easy to prepare and personalize, and great for outdoor grilling.

  • 1 16 oz. pkg. Del Real Chile Verde (Pork in Green Sauce)
  • 1 pkg. 8.8 oz. pkg. (contains 2) Naan bread
  • 1 cup finely shredded mixed mexican cheese blend
  • 1/2 bell pepper (red, orange or yellow) sliced
  • 1/4 cup (thawed) frozed roasted corn
  • 2 sliced green onions
  • Sliced pickled jalapenos
  • Sour cream
  • Green Cilantro Sauce:
  • 1 tbsp. toasted pine nuts
  • Liquid/green sauce from DRF Chile Verde (after 1 1/2 min. in microwave)
  • 1/2 bunch (cleaned and dried) chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan
  • 2 tbsp. oil

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees, or grill to 350 degrees. 2. Heat Chile Verde in microwave ro the first 1 1/2 minutes according to pkg. Break meat up into smaller pieces and reserve green sauce/liquid. 3. Make Green Cilantro Sauce by combining and chopping ingredients in order, in food processor, adding in each ingredient until well blended. 4. Start pizza assembly by spreading green cilantro sauce all over Naan. 5. Sprinkle Naan with cheese, pork, and bell pepper. 6. Top with roasted corn, green onions, and jalapenos. 7. Place pizzas off to side, away from direct heat, onto grill, or onto cookie sheet in middle rack of oven. 2 Naan pizza's should fit onto 1 extra large cookie sheet. 8. Heat for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, or until cheese melts and sides of pizza crisp. 9. Remove from heat and garnish with more green onion, cilantro and/or sour cream. Serve with extra green cilantro sauce for dipping or drizzling. (Save any unused Green Cilantro Sauce for the next's great on omelettes!)
